Pottery Wheel Classes

How Adult Basic Pottery Wheel class works: Learn to use the potter's wheel and make up to 3 ceramic bowls. An additional $10 fee will be charged for each additional pot. Watch step-by-step demos from our amazing pottery instructor. Suitable for ages 13 and up, no experience needed. The demo lasts 15 minutes, so please arrive on time. Your pottery wheel projects will be ready to paint in 3 1/2 weeks. A text message will be sent with a link to reserve a table to paint pottery.

Adult Basic Pottery Wheel Class: $60 per person

Kids Basic Pottery Wheel

Kids will learn about clay and kilns then centering, lifting, and shaping, as they are off to create their unique pieces. Perfect for kids 8 and up. Kids Basic Pottery Wheel is a one-time session.

Kids Basic Pottery Wheel Price: $65 per child

Did we say mess? Yes! This class is packed with two hours of fun. In the first hour, kids will enjoy making bowls, cups, and more. In the second hour, kids will paint their creations with glaze paint. Projects will be fired twice and will be food—and liquid-safe. 

Projects will be texted approximately 4 weeks later for pickup. 


Kids Pottery Wheel 6-Week Session

Next 6 week Session Starts October 26th - and ends Nov 30th

In this 6-week course, students will be taught the fundamentals of making pottery on the wheel including centering, lifting, trimming, sculpting, and glazing in this AWESOME pottery wheel class. To keep your kiddos and our Instructors as safe as possible, we have minimized our classes to only 6 students per class. 

  • Ages 8+ and drop off only. 

  • $175 per child

  • Add a sibling discount available at checkout for $50 off 

  • Projects will require drying and two firings for liquid and food safety. 

  • Projects will be texted when ready for pick up in approximately 4 weeks.

    Please only purchase the first day of this 6-week class on Oct 26th to avoid confusion and overbooking.

Kids Basic Wheel Throwing Class

Kids will learn about clay and kilns then centering, lifting, and shaping, as they are off to create their unique pieces. Perfect for kids 8 and up.

Kid’s classes and camps are offered throughout the year! Look for special classes added during breaks and holidays.

While each class will be a one-time session your child will love to take multiple sessions and makeup to three different pieces that cater to the skills they will build and their unique interests! They will glaze the pieces made the same day. Projects will be ready in 4 weeks.

Did you enjoy the movie," Ghost?" Recreate the movie and make your pottery together! Couples will learn the wonderful world of creating magic on the potter’s wheel and are encouraged to help each other form fun shapes! An instructor will be with you the entire time coaching you through each step. 

This one time, no experience is necessary, throwing experience includes all materials, firing, and instruction for only $125 per couple and up to 5 pieces created per couple on the wheel. Booking is required to attend class. Pottery will be ready in 4 weeks and includes firing and glaze painting and you will be notified via text. 

It's like two dates in one when you get to come back and paint your special creations with over 50 glazes plus add-ons like special glazes and fun techniques! Please arrive on time as class will begin immediately with a demo. 

Due to limited space, only 3 couples may book per session Make sure to dress to make a mess! Pottery projects need to be cleaned, dried and fired twice-can take 4 weeks.

Important Info: This is a one-time experience session. Please select one preferred day and time. The class Demo begins promptly please arrive 10 minutes early---giving ample time to find parking. Please remove rings and wrist jewelry/watches before class Manicures and long nails are not recommended before the session. This is an 18 and over class.


Large Group Pottery Wheel Request

If you have a smaller group please see our selection of Basic Wheel classes via the Class Calendar. You will be able to purchase a class from there for groups less than 6.

How it works: Groups of up to 6 potters spend 1.5 hours in our Throwing Studio creating up to 3 works of art each. Each class begins with a demo by the instructor, each pottery partier will be guided and coached along the way. All projects made on the potter’s wheel will be painted within the session. You may upgrade and have our Potteristas paint them for you or leave them white and have our Handwriting Artist add a handwritten name or word on each pot.

Projects will be cleaned, dried, fired twice, and TEXTED for pick up approximately 4 weeks later. One person from your group will be designated to pick up all projects at one time.

Knowledge required: Beginner-friendly!

What you'll get: Materials to work with, plus one fired piece that will be glazed for you.

What to bring: Wear clothes you don't mind getting messy. We suggest trimming your nails before the session and removing jewelry from your hands and wrists. Long Hair should be tied back in a ponytail.

Suitable for This class is great for individuals and couples as well as for a team-building activity, birthday, or bachelorette party.

Groups larger than 6 will require two or more hours in our wheel space with the addition of a creative hand-sculpted piece while partiers rotate turns on the wheel and the larger group may require a second instructor. Cost per extra potter beyond 6 is $50 per person.

Bookings for a class:

  • must be requested a minimum of 2 weeks in advance of the class.

  • We are OPEN on Wednesday-Saturday 12-7 and Sunday 12-4.

  • Requests for wheel classes on off days/hours will be subject to studio and instructor availability and

Pricing: Groups of 6: $335 + tax:

A $100.00 deposit must be paid before the class is scheduled. Bookings must be requested at least two weeks before the event.

A 10% gratuity is added to the bill paid for instructors on the day of the event. If you loved your class and instructor and would like to increase the gratuity just let us know at checkout.

Instructors will be guiding you through the process, telling you about our other offerings, cleaning & labeling your pots, and firing, and preparing pots for your return to paint.

Clay is naturally a little messy! We advise that you let each partier know to wear art-appropriate clothing and remove treasured jewelry, bracelets, etc. Your hands will be covered in clay for the duration of our session. The wheel-throwing studio is small- we do not allow celebratory food and drink set up (except personal water bottles and coffees.
